Dragon Boat Races

This past weekend we attended our local FCC (families w/ children from China) Dragon Boat Races. Dragon Boat Races are an annual Chinese tradition. Emma won her race! Her secret? Giving her boat the taste test before Mommy put it in the water!

Here is a picture of Daddy & Emma at the big race. We also grilled out hot dogs & everyone brought chips, salads, & sweets. I was prepared w/ plenty of food for Emma... a peanut butter & jelly sandwich, pear sauce (she hates applesauce), animal crackers, & if all that failed her bottle w/ formula & rice cereal. She would not eat any of it. All she would eat was cheese puffs!

The other picture is Emma w/ her red cup. She carried this around half the day & chewed on it! Max said from now on we are not buying anymore toys! Instead we should only give her plastic cups & cardboard boxes to play with since that is what she seems to like the most!

Emma loves her doll. When she first came home from China she did not like any of her stuffed animals or dolls. She would just throw them down. Now she hugs them and kisses them before throwing them down!

Mashed Potato Mess

Emma makes a big mess when she eats. She sticks her fingers in her mouth & then gets the mashed potato on whatever she touches... her face, her high chair, her hair!
